Fourth Grade

Fourth GRADE

Ms. Elizabeth Wareham

Ms. Wareham

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Wareham, and I am very excited to be continuing my teaching career as a member of the St. Luke’s family this year.

I grew up in Dubuque where I graduated from Wahlert Catholic High School in 2013. I then attended Mount Mercy University and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. I also have endorsements in reading and music.

It is important to me that students feel safe in my classroom so that we can have fun together and grow academically, emotionally, and in our faith together!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, singing, playing darts, and traveling.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach at St. Lukes again this year, and I can’t wait to see what the year will bring!

Ms. Gabrielle Cowie

Hello! My name is Gabrielle Cowie (cow like the animal), and I feel so blessed to be returning to St. Luke’s to teach 4th grade again this school year. I grew up in Decorah, Iowa as the oldest of four kids, and I graduated college from The University of Northern Iowa in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Reading. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in second grade, so it’s a dream come true to begin another year of teaching with your students! I am a firm believer that every student’s uniqueness and special gifts God has given them should be celebrated in the classroom. It’s my goal to provide a safe space where students feel comfortable being themselves and learning in the way that best fits their brain.

When I’m not at school you can find me reading, going for walks with my mom (it’s Ms. Bruening who also works at St. Luke’s!!), tutoring at The Little White Schoolhouse here in Ankeny, and doing anything and everything with my Yorkipoo, Sterling.

I love being a part of the St. Luke’s family, and I can’t wait for another fabulous year in fourth grade!
