Mrs. Sydney Reis

Hello! My name is Sydney Reis and I am so excited to be your student's Kindergarten teacher! I graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Elementary Education and with an endorsement in Special Education in 2018. This is my fifth year teaching and my third in Kindergarten! I previously taught 2 years in preschool at St. Joseph in Des Moines.

Teaching is a passion of mine and I truly love coming to work every day. I feel so blessed to be working here at St. Luke's and to share in learning with all of your wonderful children!

Ms. Olivia Lampe

Hello! My name is Olivia Lampe, and I feel so blessed to be teaching kindergarten at St. Luke’s. I am from Cedar Rapids, Iowa and have attended Catholic schools my whole life. I graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, and endorsements in early childhood/special education and reading.

Throughout my teaching career, I have been passionate about two things: fostering an environment where students feel safe and celebrated, and inspiring students to be life-long learners. I especially enjoy helping students grow in their faith and strengthen their relationship with God along the way.

I am one of six daughters, all of whom work in education, plus my mom! Spending time with my family is one of my favorite things to do outside of school. I also love reading, baking, and going for long walks.

I am looking forward to an amazing school year!

Mrs. Hollie Smith

Hello, my name is Hollie Smith! I’m very excited to start another year at St. Luke’s being a Kindergarten Teacher Associate. Before starting with St Luke’s I worked as a General Ed Associate at Ankeny Community Schools for two years.

I’m from northwest Iowa and got my Bachelors degree at University of Iowa. After college I did two years of volunteer service with AmeriCorps in Denver, CO. This is where I lived for a decade and continued my professional career in nonprofit youth development.

My husband and I had our first baby and moved back to Iowa to raise and expand our family. I was fortunate to be a stay at home mom for ten years. Our family is blessed with our teenage daughter, preteen son, a mini Schnoodle, and a toy Aussiedoodle.

Outside of work I enjoy supporting and attending my children’s sports and activities, boating, walking, reading, concerts and spending time with family and friends.

I’m very excited to start this school year and truly enjoy getting to know each student.
