School Overview 

We are a Catholic school established in August 2015 with 42 students.  Now, in 2025 we have an enrollment of 390 students. St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic School offers a Christ-centered education for children in kindergarten through 8th grade and is accredited by the Iowa Department of Education. Voted the favorite Ankeny/Northern Polk County school in 2024, we truly value our school community.  We are a collaborative community where all are respected, encouraged, and challenged.  We are committed to building spiritual, academic, and emotional growth for each individual. Here at St. Luke’s, we offer:

  • A core curriculum in science, math, English language arts, and social studies

  • Special classes include: physical education, art, music, STEM, technology, and band

  • Limited class sizes of 24 students per class in grades 1-8 and 22 students per class in kindergarten

We offer a variety of clubs and activities including volleyball, basketball, chess, STEM, and cooking.
